1. Product Name: High Performance Low Dielectric Fiberglass
    Exhibitor: CPIC / FIBERGLASS

HL-glass is a new generation of high performance low dielectric constant fiberglass of CPIC introduced in 2014, in the field of electromagnetic waves through high-frequency electronic circuits and has a wide range of applications. HL has a lower dielectric constant and the dielectric loss compared than E-glass. Dielectric constant (1MHz) of HL is less than 3.8, and dielectric loss of HL is less than 0.0007. When combined with D-glass, E-glass and PTFE as so, HL can get a lower dielectric constant of the substrate material for military use.

Compared with similar products, HL in addition has Intellectual property rights, and also some advantages as follows:
  • HL belongs to a borosilicate glass, none-alkali and low-calcium, with super-low dielectric constant and the dielectric loss;
  • Unique patented technology of melt and molding, can produce yarns with diameter as thin as 4.5um:
  • The tensile strength is about 30% higher than E-glass, and may significantly increase production efficiency in the weaving process;
  • The density of the glass is 2.3g/cm3, Lower than similar products 5%,lighter substrate materials is based on HL;
  • The bubble content is less than 0.1 a/g, The product quality is more excellent and with more stable performance;
  • Glass composition design and surface treatment processes excellent, Products better water resistance. It can effectively prevent products from becoming moldy. Dielectric constant (1MHZ) < 4.0; dielectric loss (1MHZ) < 0.0007; density (g/cm3) 2.3; fizz (per gram) 0~0.1; water resistance (99℃, 70min).
HL-glass has a low dielectric constant, and low dielectric loss. Compared with the conventional D-glass fiber, its products have the advantages of good processability. It determines its electrical characteristics are mainly used in the field and high frequency electromagnetic waves through the field of electronic circuits. With the rapid development of communication technology, high-frequency equipment has been widely used in a variety of production and life with its market’s 15% to 20% annual rate of rapid growth. With development of higher performance electronic device, users are having keener requirement for lightweight. The rise of cloud computing, the strengthening of communications security’s national strategy status. all indicate that in the future market of digital TV, mobile phones, global positioning systems, mobile communication base station, the vehicle information and communication, high speed data centers, cloud computing center, high-end servers and routing, radome, military antenna, electromagnetic medical device communications, microwave tower through the wave wall, astronomical observatories and other protective cover, etc. There will be constant and robust demand for low dielectric glass fiber.

2. Product Name: T700-12K Carbon Fiber Lighter and Thinner Woven Fabric--80g/m2
    Exhibitor: Tianjin Onlytop High-tech Materials Co., Ltd.
This product can be widely used in aerospace, automotive manufacture, ship and yachts, high level sports leisure products and etc. In aerospace area, this product can be used in the aircraft main wing, tail, body, the rudder, elevator, the contents materials and etc. In automotive manufacture area, the products usually are used in hood, rear wing, seats, fairing and etc. In wind energy area, the products are mainly used in the fan blades, host and volute pump. In addition, helmet, bike rack, skis, golf clubs, hockey sticks, aircraft model, computer case all use our products.

At this stage, in China the major carbon fiber companies all use the small tow carbon fiber such as 1K and 3K to produce thinner and lighter carbon fiber woven fabrics. But the small tow carbon fiber is extremely expensive. Those companies cannot use the large tow carbon fiber to produce the thin and light woven fabrics due to the limitation of their carbon fiber tow spread technology.

At present, in China most of the carbon fiber companies still use the first generation “The Rolling-on Method” to spread the tow, only a few developed countries use the second generation skill “The Air Blast Technology”. Our Woven Fabrics are produced by the new generation “The Ultrasonic Technique” that completely self-developed by our company. By this method, we can spread 12K or even larger tow from 6.5mm into 8-30mm in width with virtually undamaged. Taking T700-12K as an example, our technique parameters compares with other spreading methods is shown as Table 1.

The first generation carbon fibre spreading technique is rolled-on method, the original T700-12K carbon fibre yarn can be extended to 14mm that is the maximum width and the strength will lose around 30%. The second generation carbon fibre spreading technique is blowing method. When the fiber is extended laterally to 18mm, the strength will lose around 15%.

Using ultrasonic spreading technique, the carbon fibre tow can be lighter and thinner, straighter and fully resin impregnation. Furthermore, dipping and drying time is shorter than traditional process, and physical and mechanical performance is better than other products on the market. We use 12k or larger tow instead of 1K, 3K, 6K to produce lighter and thinner woven fabric. The “Ultrasonic Spreading Technique” reduces the energy consumption and improves the production efficiency, product quality, profit margin and the market competitiveness; it creates huge economic benefits and social benefits.
