She is the first of the HH Catamarans to sport a forward, interior helm. Designed and engineered by Morrelli & Melvin, the catamaran was built by HH Catamarans, a young company which is the result of a partnership between New Zealand boatbuilder Paul Hakes and Taiwanese industrialist Hudson Wang.

“In keeping to our commitment to a high level of luxury and performance, the HH55 is an all-carbon affair. Rig, hulls and structures all enjoy the superior safely and weight saving proprieties that only carbon can offer. Like her sister ship, the HH66, the HH55 has a ‘C’ daggerboard and T-foil rudders, giving greater performance and a smoother ride in the waves”, explains the builder.

He specifies that “all HH Catamarans are built by a team of professional boat builders in a state-of-the-art production facility in Xiamen, China. HH Catamarans parent company, Hudson Yacht Group, is dedicated to building the highest quality, most technologically advanced, luxury cruising catamarans. With an investment of over USD 50 million, the newly expanded HYG factory spans over 1.2 million square feet and is situated beside a harbor for easy launching and hull testing.”
