TMT Signs MoU with Knowledge Centre WMC China on Wind Blade Test and Certification Cooperation

Feng Xuebin, Chief Engineer of Wind Power Business, TMT and Xu Jingwei, President of WMC China, seals the document on behalf of respective party in a ceremony joined by other senior representatives from both sides.

On the invitation of Xu, TMT delegation is led to the Structure Laboratory and Materials Laboratory, following a briefing on the history, strength and development strategy of WMC China. Both parties agree to leverage their complemented strengths on design, development, test and certification to cement bilateral cooperation during the whole lifecycle of wind blade in a coordinated and innovative manner, targeting leap-frog development and joint contribution to the wind power industry.




TMT is the new material platform under CRRC Group, in possession of one of the biggest development & production base of big-sized wind blades in Middle China, boasting an annual capacity exceeding 4,000 sets, ranking No.2 in China.

Knowledge Centre WMC China has a systematic composite test and certification capability sourced from WMC Netherland and renovated thereafter by its own. An international innovation laboratory has been set up together with INSTRON. It is operated in accordance with ISO/IEC17025, and has obtained both CNAS and DN-DGL certificates. It owns a dedicated laboratory with development and test ability benefitting the entire composite industrial chain, marking the biggest of its kind worldwide with complete capability of manufacturing, test, data analysis, evaluation as well as simulation of test articles of composite, structures and components, serving a diversity of industries including wind, automotive, rails, aerospace, etc. as an professional and authoritative thirty party.

The two sides will continue to intensify efforts on joint development, complement the insufficiencies of test, certification, data application hindering the wind industry, forge a new life-cycle cooperation pattern integrating material development, structural design, design verification, product certification, and finally greatly enhance domestic development and innovation on wind blades.

The bilateral cooperation will contribute to national transformation from Made in China to Created in China, and realize national strategy to peak carbon emission by 2030 and reach carbon neutrality by 2060.
