Bluestar Fibres Co Ltd, part of the China National Bluestar (Group) Corporation “Bluestar” will be exhibiting its new range of carbon fibre and oxidized fibres. As a subsidiary of Bluestar, Bluestar Fibres has several decades of history in the manufacture of carbon fibre polyacrlonitrile (PAN) precursors and carbon fibres at its facilities in England. Bluestar Fibres Company Ltd will start up its own domestic production of PAN precursor and carbon fibre (1500 tonnes) in Lanzhou, China in the last quarter of 2009. Bluestar will show samples of its PAN precursors along with their continuous and chopped carbon fibres (Starafil®) along with its full range of Continuous, crimped and staple oxidized fibres (Starox®). Additional to exhibiting, Bluestar’s carbon fibre sales and marketing director Anthony (Tony) Roberts will be presenting a paper.This will be in conference meeting room No. 5A, Sept/03/2009 from 10:40-11:40am. It will be on the present world supply/demand situation in the carbon fibre industry.
